SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft more particularly to device and method of control of aircraft maintenance drive powering from aircraft electrical network. The device contains facilities (14) for maintenance drive electric power supply control and facilities (15) for providing communication of control facilities with control unit (16) allowing user to control drive (7) operation. Control facilities are intended to compare control unit status with original status (SBR) and/or abnormal for voltage supply status (SBE1, SBE2, SBE3) and to lock switching on the drive if control unit (16) status differs from original status (SBR) or corresponds to abnormal status (SBE1, SBE2, SBE3) when voltage is supplied to electrical network.
EFFECT: prevention of unauthorised withdrawal of maintenance drive.
