FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to image complex-structure media in form of a depth profile A(x,h). The essence of the method lies in scanning the wave field A(x,t) on n seismograms for each imaged point (x0,h0) of the depth profile. Scanning with successive division v of increments of velocities V is carried out with pseudo-inphase accumulations along virtual hodographs on p signals in each wave train Fpm, detected by seismic receivers from q aspects of the angle of incidence α of seismic boundaries. An interactive mode for interpretation and correction of given ranges V, v and α, q is realised by constructing confidence viewing windows (CVW) based on displaying up to n energy matrices of composite functions Fw pm(α,V) in form of isolines, histrograms or other techniques. Within the CVW, the maximum of the composite function of statistical processing Fmax(α,V) is found. The found intensity of the imaged point is documented in accordance with Fmax(α,V), velocity and angle of incidence of the boundary in the imaged point on the depth profile. The next imaged point is similarly constructed, and so forth, until construction of the depth profile is complete.
EFFECT: high reliability of constructing the depth profile using separate seismograms.
