FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method involves deformation and heat treatment of pipes of intermediate sizes, deformation of pipes for finished size and final heat treatment, straightening and polishing of pipes. Stability of values of conventional yield strength σ0.2 at the interval of 245-372 N/mm2 (25-38 kgf/mm2) is achieved due to the fact that deformation of pipes for finished size is performed with deformation degree as per pipe wall of not less than 13%, and final pipe heat treatment is performed at temperature of 760-780°C during not less than 120 minutes with further cooling in the air.
EFFECT: improving the quality and increasing the yield ratio of cold deformed pipes from steel "08Х14МФ-Ш" for heat exchange units of thermal and nuclear power plants.
