FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: solid-fuel charge for rocket engine is made in the form of grain of solid rocket propellant with central through channel and partially armoured side surface. Total surface area of armour covering corresponds to the ratio protected with the present invention. Armour covering of side surface is spot-like in cavities with surface area of a separate spot armour covering along external charge surface of 0.5…3.0 mm2. Armouring points are located along external side surface of charge at the distance from each other of not less than 3.0 mm. Armouring spot sections are buried into the grain and located flush with external side surface of the charge.
EFFECT: invention allows reducing maximum pressure in combustion chamber of solid-propellant rocket engine, reducing maximum sizes of armour particles discharged at its operation and reducing the probability of separation of armour covering from grain surface with combustion products.
