SUBSTANCE: in an application a method of communication is described with usage of a femtocell supporting communication with a protected basic network, such as a multimedia IP-subsystem (IMS). When realising the method, the first protected object in the IMS network receives information from the femtocell with indication of a random number. Also an authentication response is received, calculated by a mobile device on the basis of a random number and the first key known to the mobile device and unknown to the femtocell. The first protected object additionally confirms that a random number is a legal random number provided to the femtocell by the IMS network.
