FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to creation of globally unique identifier for subscriber device. The method comprises steps of: receiving a registration request from aggregation device in the first network. The request contains the aggregation device identifier, as well as identification data, generated by the latter on behalf of mobile communication device. This data was not available to the packet-switched network before. Then, a global identifier of the mobile device is created based on the information mentioned above. The created globally unique identifier is used to unambiguously identify the mobile device within the packet-switched network.
EFFECT: provision of mobile device identification in a packet-switched network.
