FIELD: information technologies.
SUBSTANCE: in a wireless communication system, which has multiple access units, a home agent (HA) preserves a home address (HoA) for a mobile unit so that an IP-session could be established. Since the mobile unit moves within the area of service of different access units, the mobile unit may establish a safe connection within a local access gateway and thus register a local IP-address called an address for communication (CoA), with the help of the HA. The mobile IP-protocol may be established so that multiple sessions could be controlled. When maintaining PCC, the HA informs a policy and charging rules function (PCRF), which in its turn may then transmit appropriate PCC-rules (for instance, IP-flows and related policies) to a policy and charging effectuation function (PCEF) for a specific access gateway. Coordination required for association of CoA and HoA may additionally include filter information, as for an application, may perform in a specific interface.
EFFECT: improved interaction with a charging control policy.
