FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: in the method of establishing the presence and intensity of foreign smell, the qualitative composition of the equilibrium gas sample of wet and sprouted seeds the device "Electronic nose" is used. To do this, piezo-sensors matrix is prepared consisting of 3 piezo-sensors with a base frequency of oscillations of 10-15 MHz, on the electrodes of which the sensitive coatings of sorbents solutions are applied, such as Triton X-100, polyethylene phthalate, polyethylene glycol adipate. They are applied so that the total weight of the coating after removal of the solvent is 4-10 mcg. The prepared detecting device is connected to the computer. Then, a sample of rapeseed is taken, placed in a sealed glass container with a soft polymer membrane, kept it at a constant temperature of 20°C for 30 minutes. Then through the polymer membrane 3 cm3 of equilibrium gas phase is taken with a syringe, it is injected into the body of a static piezo-electric nose, the algorithm is chosen, the signals of the array of sensors in real-time as chronoperiodogramms are recorded on base of which visual prints are made that are compared with the available in the database visual prints of standard mixtures. According the area of the diagrams the degree of damage of rapeseed is determined, i.e. the area of "visual prints" is calculated and according to the calibration graph of dependence of the area of visual prints on the acid number of oil in rapeseed the value of the latter is determined, according to which the control of state of the seeds is carried out, if the acid number ranges from 0 to 4 mg KOH/g - this is the norm, i.e. the grain is in good condition, and if the acid number is equal to the value of 4.1 to 4.5 mg KOH/g, it marks the beginning of spoilage of rapeseed, at this stage it is possible to take steps to prevent their further damage and to provide the necessary storage conditions without reduce in their quality, with a value of acid number of more than 6 mg KOH/g the irreversible damage to rapeseed is started.
EFFECT: method enables to improve the accuracy of establishing early damage of rapeseed, to increase the urgency of determination, the accuracy of measurement, to prevent further deterioration of rapeseed and ensure their safety without compromising on quality.
