FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method of preliminary machining of the surface comprises shaping the article, hard-surfacing and spark machining by electrode to produce surface layer with changed metal structure. Thereafter, spark erosion machining and grinding stock "5" is allowed for. Then, spark erosion machining is used to remove metal layer equal to 50-70% of specified allowance to make metal layer with changed structure. Then, article surface is subjected to finishing spark erosion machining by planishing with removal of surface metal layer with modified structure with depth of 25-30.0% of specified allowance. Some 45-65% of metal layer thickness with changed structure is allowed for and, thereafter, article surface is subjected to grinding.
EFFECT: precise and wear resistance with complex geometry.
