FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: multi-layer coating is produced by electrospark treatment of part in two stages. In the first stage finishing treatment mode is used, and application of coating layer by cast-iron electrode is alternated with application of coating layer by steel electrode, at that number of coating layers is defined with their total thickness, which is less by 10-20% than total thickness of multi-layer coating, and order of coating layers alternation start depends on metal of restored part - for steel part the first layer is cast-iron, and for cast-iron part - steel. In the second stage rough treatment mode is used, and layer of bleached cast iron is applied on external surface by cast-iron electrode. The height of bleached cast iron layer exceeds height of burrs on the last layer of coating by value of allowance for further treatment.
EFFECT: possibility to restore worn surfaces of steel or cast-iron part of any value or configuration with provision of high quality of applied layer with minimum expenses.
