FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thread cutting with removal of chips. Proposed device comprises profiling tool arranged opposite locking element. Both said device and element may be fed for biting relative to each other and set in fixed position to allow tangential setting between and tangential removing of blank from between said device and said element. Profiling element comprises no-pitch profile and may be positioned opposite the blank lengthwise axis at adjustable angle of inclination of profiling tool depending upon required angular pitch of external thread.
EFFECT: cutting of blank inaccessible from its both ends.
