SUBSTANCE: invention relates to run-flat tires. Proposed tire comprises carcass 6 and cord layer, and reinforcing tread arranged radially outside. Carcass 6 consists of carcass layer 6a composed of aramide fibre cover 20 arranged at 45° to 90° to tire lengthwise axis on rubber cover layer. Preferably, carcass each cord 20 has two-bundle twisted structure made by final twisting of two pre-twisted bundles of threads. It is also preferable that each said cord has twist factor T defined by formula

varying from 0.5 to 0.7 where N is the number of final twists (number of turns /10 cm), D is total linear density, dtex, while ρ is cord material density.

EFFECT: increased heat resistance, longer life.
