FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: synchronous hydroacoustic range-finding navigation system relates to hydroacoustics and specifically to hydroacoustic navigation equipment and can be used in navigating underwater objects. The synchronous hydroacoustic range-finding navigation system has a base of M hydroacoustic transponders 1.1, 1.2, …, 1.M, an acoustic pulse transmitter 2, an M-channel hydroacoustic signal receiver 3, M devices 4.1, 4.2, …4.M for measuring the time of propagation of hydroacoustic signals from the transmitter 2 to a transponder and back, M controlled units 5.1, 5.2, …, 5.M for converting the time interval to distance of the i-th channel a computer 6 for computing coordinates of the navigation object and a clock-pulse generator 7. All components of the system, except transponders 1.1, 1.2, …, 1.M, which are part of the bottom base, are installed on the navigation object.
EFFECT: combination of reintroduced connections and features of units for converting time intervals to distance makes the system simple and reliable.
