SUBSTANCE: invention relates to experimental aerodynamics, particularly, to method of defining protection of aircraft engine air intakes. Proposed method comprises test run from check section imitating runway composed of a pool of three cells prefilled with fluid with addition of red, dark blue and green fluorescent dyes. After aircraft run, zones of fluid penetration in air intakes are defined by color brightness while fluid flow intensity is defined from fluorescence color.
EFFECT: stable and valid estimation.
