FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to suspended elevators. Proposed elevator comprises frequency-controlled motor with multiloop friction pulley, multiloop counter pulley, pull cables and release catcher. Cables run over friction pulley and counter pulley. Cables are attached to cargo platform and counterweight. Release catcher comprises fixed multiloop release-braking pulley, moving single-loop or multiloop counter pulley, two guide multiloop pulleys, and two moving brakes shoes. Release cables run over multiloop guide pulleys. Cables are attached to cargo platform and counterweight. Brake shoes are arranged between release-breaking pulley and counter pulley. Counter pulley axle and brake shoes are displaced in two guides. Fixed release-braking pulley axle is rigidly coupled with guides. Pulley axles and shoes are tightened by stud bolts with lock nuts and spaced apart by springs.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and safety, minimum starting loads.
