SUBSTANCE: rotary engine comprises housing with inner working surfaces, rotor with blades arranged in slots, intake and discharge openings. Inner working surface is composed of conjugated cylindrical surfaces with alternating smaller and greater generator radii. Said cylindrical surfaces are composed by straight line segment displacing in parallel with rotor rotational axis in guide curve made by alternating conjugated arcs with smaller and greater radii. Center of circles are located at vertices of larger and smaller squares (1^st version). Centers of circles may be located at vertices of regular hexagons (2^nd version). Centers of circles may be located at vertices of regular octagons (3^rd version). Centers of circles may be located at centers of regular decagons (4^th version). Centers of circles may be located at centers of regular dodecagons (5^th version).

EFFECT: simplified design, decreased dimensions and weight, higher output.
