FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: biological material is presented by parietal-abdominal mucus of fundal and antral stomach. That is ensured by oesophagogastroduodenoscopy to take parietal-abdominal mucus of fundal and antral stomach with the use of Pentax Brush Endoscope. The recovered material is used to prepared smears to be studies by phase-contrast microscopy. Cell elements per 100 cells are counted, and percentage of each cell type is determined. The presence of bare cores more than 10% (norm 0 to 10%), neutrophilic granulocytes more than 5%, histiocytes (macrophagues) (norm 0 to 5%) more than 5% and/or lymphoid cells more than 5% (norm 0 to 5%) testifies to the presence of inflammation of gastric mucosa (gastritis).
EFFECT: reduced number of injures of taking the biological material and number of complications; it is simple, informative; it enables obtaining reliable findings of the gastric mucosa state for a relatively short time; if implemented, it does not require heavy expenses.
