FIELD: information technologies.
SUBSTANCE: basic station is proposed, which connects to a mobile station in a system of radio communication using multiplexing with orthogonal frequency division (OFDM) of channels in a downlink. The basic station comprises a module of sequence selection arranged as capable of selecting multiple sequences of a synchronisation signal; a module of synchronisation signal generation arranged as capable of generating a secondary synchronisation channel based on one part of selected sequences of the synchronisation signal and the other part of selected sequences of the synchronisation signal; and a transmitting module arranged as capable of transferring the secondary synchronisation channel. The secondary synchronisation channel is used to detect information, which is specific for a cell.
EFFECT: higher speed of data transfer.
