FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to an agent for treating drug and alcohol dependences which contains an organic colour. The organic colour is specified in a group containing gentian violet, malachite green oxalate, Sudan Black B, Rhodamine 6G or a mixture of said colours and methylene green. The invention also refers to a method of treating drug or alcohol dependence which consists in the introduction of said agent within the dose range of 0.15 mg to 5 g.
EFFECT: invention provides the non-toxic and causing no side effects agent for treating drug addiction and alcohol abuse in pharmaceutically acceptable doses with reduced length of treatment and increased clinical effectiveness.
