FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: device has a radiation former, having a lens and an illuminating mark lying in the focal plane of said lens, a corner reflector which is attached to the controlled object, three dihedral angles of said corner reflector having deviations of 90° which are given in advance, a recording device which is placed on the path of radiation from the reflector and is in form of a lens and an optical radiation receiver lying in the focal plane of the lens, the output of the receiver being connected to a processing unit. The device additionally contains a flat mirror whose centre lies from the optical axis of the lens of the radiation former at a distance H=L*tgΔ, where L is the length of the projection of the interval between centres of the reflector and the flat mirror on the optical axis, Δ is the angle between the normal to the flat mirror and the optical axis of the radiation former, which is equal to the angle of deviation from the optical axis of radiation former of the beam reflected from the corner reflector. The mark of the radiation former has a shape without an axial symmetry property. The optical radiation receiver is in form of a matrix photodetector.

EFFECT: high accuracy of measuring rotation of an object by increasing sensitivity to the twist angle and determining the sign of collimation angles.
