FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to seat and headrest of vehicle, in particular of aircraft. Vehicle seat includes backrest (4) on which headrest is mounted. The headrest includes cushion (2) to support head (51) of person (5) on the seat. Depending on circumstances, a person may have safety helmet or not. The cushion (2) has three stable positions. The first position is for neck holding of seat occupant head in which position the headrest provides neck holding function, both with helmet and without it. The second position is for cervical holding of seat occupant head in which position the headrest provides cervical holding function without helmet. The third position is for cervical holding of seat occupant head in which position the headrest provides cervical holding function with helmet.
EFFECT: pilot head holding is provided simultaneously with helmet on and without helmet.
