FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: mechanical packer includes a stock with a shaped slot, sealing elements installed on stock, slips of mechanical anchor, and a cone interacting with slips. Bushing with a groove on inner surface is fixed relative to stock by means of a limit stop representing an annular sector in longitudinal section; external generatrix of annular sector of limit stop interacts with internal groove on bushing, and internal generatrix of limit stop contacts the seat for free fall ball. Body of limit stop is inserted in a through hole of stock, and seat is fixed inside stock by means of shear elements.

EFFECT: improving packer operating reliability, enlarging functional capabilities of the device, easy setting of packer in inclined, horizontal, deep wells, use with fibreglass, pumping-compressor, drilling or flexible pipes; providing reserve removal systems involving various packer removal methods.
