SUBSTANCE: lighting device for lighting of a surface comprises at least one lighting element and a lighting body, in which the lighting element emits artificial light. The body element comprises a lighting element and supports a lighting body. The lighting body comprises a transparent light-conductive material suitable for lighting of a surface lying below. At the same time the lighting body comprises a surface template, which forms a Fresnel lens, for optical magnification of the surface. Besides, the lighting body comprises a light-releasing layer arranged as capable of receiving and diverting artificial light from the lighting element onto the surface. The light-releasing layer comprises a surface structure, besides, the lighting body comprises the first section and the second section, besides, at least a part of the first section is coated with the surface template, and at least a part of the second section is coated with the light-releasing layer.

EFFECT: creation of an efficient and cheap lighting device, which with small total thickness combines efficient magnification for convenient reading.
