FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: inventions may be used to measure a dynamic range (DR) of a radio receiver by intermodulation. In the method for measurement of the radio receiver DR by intermodulation, a calibrating signal is sent to the radio receiver input with the frequency of f0, and the rated output voltage UR is set, then three signals are sent to the receiver input with identical levels of EMF and frequencies f1, f2, f3, then signal levels are simultaneously regulated, until receiver output voltage will not settle as equal to UR, the DR by intermodulation is determined in the form of f1+f2-f3=f0, afterwards the number of pairs and triplets of signals is calculated in a preselection filter pass band (PS FPB) and DR by intermodulation with account of the width of PS FPB, then the DR by intermodulation is measured of the summary form of f1+f2-f3=f0 and 2f1-f2=f0, afterwards the DR by intermodulation is calculated with account of the PS FPB width, with the help of two signals the DR by intermodulation is calculated in the form 2f1-f2=f0 with account of PS FPB width, from the measured values the least one is selected. The device to measure a dynamic range of a radio receiver by intermodulation comprises the first, second and third generators, an antenna equivalent, a radio receiver, a voltmeter, a load equivalent, an automated workplace (AWP), comprising a unit of digital signal processing, a PC, an optical transceiver, an optoelectronic/electronic-optical converter. The device also uses digital and fibre-optic communication lines.
EFFECT: provision of more accurate quantitative assessment of a dynamic range of a radio receiver by intermodulation and automation of measurements.
