FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises specifying types of work and corresponding types of reference signals; selecting nominal values of frequencies allowed for radio communication; specifying parameters used in antenna radio links and the minimum allowable signal-to-noise ratio zall; determining the frequency range suitable based on conditions of signal reflection from the ionosphere; calculating the maximum usable frequency and lowest usable frequency, in the intervals between which allowed frequencies, suitable based on radio propagation conditions are selected; measuring noise level at each of the frequencies; calculating the current signal-to-noise ratio z, which is compared with zall; discarding frequencies where z<zall, storing frequencies where z>zall and selecting operating frequencies therefrom; measuring high-power noise in the range from 3 to 300 MHz; storing frequencies with a noise level higher than a threshold level; changing the transfer constant of the input device of the measurement receiver n times; measuring and storing the noise levels at each of the discarded frequencies; determining the frequency where the noise level has changed n2 times and storing said frequencies; for each of said frequencies, calculating and storing values of frequency, noise at which, along with high-power noise, third-order intermodulation interference is generated.
EFFECT: high reliability of determining suitability of radio frequencies.
