FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: rats are sequentially exposed to induced chronic social and immobilisation stress. For this purpose, the animals live for 4 months in high population density which is accompanied by gastric erosions upon completion of this period in all the rats. Further, the rats with gastric erosions are exposed to daily immobilisation stress for 1 month. Immobilisation stress is induced by daily fixation of rat's paws on a desk with its back downwards for 4 months.

EFFECT: reproduced natural course of pathophysiological events observed in chronic ulceration and completed by developing acute ulcer bleeding.
