SUBSTANCE: housekeeping electrical device, which belongs to the category of white goods, having an actuating unit and a control panel for the actuating unit. The actuating unit has a range of means and actuating mechanisms which enable to convert commands from the control panel into real actions. The control panel has a first user interface and a second user interface separate from and simpler than the first user interface. The simpler second interface controls fewer functions of the actuating unit than functions controlled by the first user interface. Each user interface has a corresponding given number of switches. The control panel has a configuration which can change from a first configuration, wherein the user has direct access to the first interface, to a second configuration wherein the user has direct access to the second interface and vice versa. Said second configuration is different from the first configuration. The electrical device has a recess for accommodating the control panel. The first and second interfaces are located on two opposite surfaces of the control panel. The first and second configurations of the control panel are linked to said recess. The first user interface enables to program the second user interface by linking commands of special functions of the actuating unit with switches belonging to the second user interface.
