FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: thermal power plant comprises a system of return water supply, including a cooling tower. An exhaust tower of the cooling tower is equipped with a water-distributing tray, an irrigation device and a water trap. The irrigation device of the cooling tower comprises tubular elements laid in layers in parallel to each other from a thermoplastic material with a latticed wall. Tubular elements are made with a triangular cross section, and between each layer of tubular elements across tubular elements along each of their end there is a strip laid from a thermoplastic material welded to tubular elements. In process of welding end sections of tubular elements are fused, as well as end sections of strips laid between them, and solid end walls of the block are formed. Cavities of each tubular element and tube-to-tube space are filled with hollow polymer balls, besides, the ball diametre is by 5-10% than the maximum size of the tubular element latticed wall cell. The water trap represents a block comprising plastic profiles, having row arrangement in the form of linear wavy or angle solid or perforated elements. Working elements of the water trap represent a bent ribbed profile, and assembly of working elements is done by fixing and simultaneously fastening elements of box type.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of a thermal power plant.
