FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: thermal power plant comprises a system of return water supply. The return water supply system comprises a cooling tower. The cooling tower comprises an exhaust tower and a water collecting pool, connected with a self-flow relief canal to a water receiving well. The exhaust tower of the cooling tower is equipped with a water-distributing tray with spray nozzles, an irrigation device and a water trap. The irrigation device of the cooling tower comprises tubular elements laid in layers in parallel to each other from a thermoplastic material with a latticed wall. At the ends tubular elements are welded to each other. Tubular elements are made with a triangular cross section, and between each layer of tubular elements across tubular elements along each of their end there is a strip laid from a thermoplastic material welded to tubular elements in areas of their contact with the strip. In process of welding end sections of tubular elements are fused, as well as end sections of strips laid between them, and solid end walls of the block are formed in process of fusing, at the same time cavities of each tubular element and tube-to-tube space is filled with hollow polymer balls, and ball diametre is by 5-10% more than the maximum size of the cell in a latticed wall of tubular elements.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of a thermal power plant.
