FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: tower body of an overhead power transmission line comprises a vessel from two segments, every of which is bent from sheet steel in the form of a half of the side surface of a dodecahedral pyramid, two opposite faces of which are formed as oriented oppositely to each other by two pairs of extreme sections lying in one plane, and two fixation units arranged near the tower body base as spaced at the distance along the length of the tower body for installation of the tower body onto the cylindrical surface of the pile, segments of the body are rigidly connected to each other at the distance between the specified pairs of extreme sections lying in one plane, using a set of straight steel elements welded each with opposite sides to opposite extreme sections. Near each segment of the body each extreme section is arranged with its plane relative to the plane of the preceding face at the inner side of the internal side of the body segment at the angle α, which is oriented with the plane to the face plane preceding to the central solid face, at the inner side of the body segment at the angle β. The face preceding the central solid face is oriented with the plane towards the plane of the central solid face at the inner side of the body segment at the angle γ, besides, values of the specified units are related by inequality α>γ>β.
EFFECT: efficiency in case of resistance to twisting and compressing loads occurring during operation, and also applied along different directions to bending loads at minimum material intensity and manufacturability of a structure.
