FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: for the purpose of negative action of atmospheric air benzene and phenol on a glutathione system dysfunction in a child body, blood is sampled. The whole blood is analysed for the concentrations of aromatic compounds of atmospheric air benzene and phenol. Blood serum is examined for activity of the following laboratory values: superoxide dismutase, catalase, glutathione peroxidase, glutathione reductase, glutathione-S-transferase, glucose-6-phosphatedehydrogenase. Then, the concentrations of aromatic compounds and the laboratory values are correlated. If the following certain dependences are simultaneously provided: higher concentration of benzene and/or phenol - higher activity of glutathione peroxidase, glutathione reductase, glucose-6-phosphatedehydrogenase and lower activity of superoxide dismutase, catalase and glutathione-S-transferase enable stating negative action of atmospheric air benzene and phenol on the glutathione system in the child body.
EFFECT: invention provides early prediction of metabolic disorders in children associated with external action of benzene and phenol.
