METHOD OF CULTIVATION OF PERENNIAL GRASSES ON PASTURES Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC A01G1/00 A01B79/02 A23K1/14

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agriculture, in particular, to the meadow fodder production. In the method the high-yielding long-standing pastoral grass stands are created on poor low-humous sandy loam soil which provides even inflow of green fodder throughout the entire growing season. And high-intensity grass mixtures were seeded with cocksfoot and other grasses in various combinations with it which are capable to withstand 5 grazing cycles per season - namely, meadow fescue, white clover, perennial ryegrass, meadow grass. Annually the increased fertiliser rates N₂₄₀P₁₂₀K₂₄₀ are applied with equal fractional parts in spring and after each of the following grazing cycles combined with irrigation and maintenance of soil moisture of field moisture capacity 70-100% in the root zone. After the first grazing cycle the top cutting of the left grass residues is carried out.

EFFECT: method enables to increase productivity and to provide even inflow of feed for the grazing period.
