FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: refrigerator oil contains polyalkylene glycol of formula R1-(OR3)n-OR2 (1), where R1 and R2 denote hydrogen, C1-C5 alkyl or C2-C5 acyl, R3 denotes C2-C4 alkylene, and content of C2 alkylene groups in R3 is not more than 30 mol %, together with a fluoropropene coolant. The fluoropropene coolant is selected from fluoropropene and a mixture of fluoropropene with at least one coolant selected from hydrofluorocarbons, fluorinated ethers and natural coolants. The composition of the working medium for a cooling apparatus contains said polyalkylene glycol of formula (1) and said fluoropropene coolant.

EFFECT: refrigerator oil has high compatibility with coolants in the presence of fluoropropene coolants.
