DEVELOPMENT METHOD OF OIL DEPOSIT WITH HORIZONTAL WELLS Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC E21B43/16 

FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: method involves construction of horizontal production wells enclosing the deposit and injection wells, injection of displacement agent through injection wells and product extraction with production wells. According to the invention, horizontal production wells are arranged in parallel; at that, in horizontal sections, uprising branches to the formation roof are subsequently drilled to opposite sides in more permeable sections. Rows of vertical wells are located between horizontal sections with the distance between the wells in the rows, which exceeds the distance to horizontal section of the nearby horizontal production well by 1.2-1.4 times. Besides, one vertical well in each row is an injection one, and the rest are production ones. As vertical production wells are being watered out up to 90%, they are changed over to injection ones.

EFFECT: increasing oil extraction; enlarging the application of horizontal wells with uprising branches under various deposit development conditions.
