FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: nuclear power plant (NPP) comprises a power unit with the following components arranged in series along the axis: a nuclear reactor, a radiation protection and aggregates of a liquid-metal circuit, a system of the specified unit displacement and a refrigerator-radiator, radiating panels of which are placed on beams laid in a start position around the power unit. Beams are fixed to each other by means of hinged joints making it possible for them as the power unit is displacement to open up as they fix three rods making up a truss. In the top of the truss there is a power unit placed, and in the base - a spacecraft. At the same time the shaft of each of three odd (starting from the displaced power unit) beams is equipped with a pulley, with a rope fixed to it, stretching along the pulley around the axis of clockwise shaft rotation, and the other end of the rope is fixed on the drum arranged along the NPP axis. The drum is equipped with an electric drive fixed on a rib, relative to which the beam with the pulley rotates.
EFFECT: spacing of a power unit away from a spacecraft by a distance optimal according to radiation environment.
