SUBSTANCE: proposed system comprises strap storage, guide assembly to receive strap and bundle the articles, and strap replacement device. The latter comprises strap feeder to displace strap toward storage and strap holder displacing between strap receive position and strap deliver position that may move relative to strap feeder. Note here that holder features closed design for retaining the strap and exposed design for its release. Note here that strap replacement device comprises also drive mechanism to displace holder from strap receive position into strap deliver position so that strap end is delivered to feeder and to displace the holder back into strap receive position. Holder assembly comprises clip displacing between closed and open positions while drive mechanism displaces strap holder from strap deliver position and strap receive position. In compliance with another version, proposed device comprises reciprocating strap holder to deliver multiple straps to strap feeder. Method of delivery first and second straps to the system comprises feeding first strap to strap holder rigidly coupled with system frame and strap feeder by displacing holder assembly. In compliance with the other version, said method differs from above said one in that it comprises feeding first strap to system feeder and delivery of second strap to strap replacement assembly. Strap is replaced when replacement device is in strap receive position. Method of feeding multiple straps to system feeder comprises repeated reciprocation of holder assembly for it to be loaded with one of multiple straps to be delivered to feeder and repeated displacement of feeder assembly.
