FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to diamond-abrasive processing of a wide range of materials and specifically to lubricant coolants and can be used in optical-mechanical, electronic and other industries when polishing glass, ceramics, sapphire, quartz, silicon, gallium arsenide, silicon carbide and other materials. Described is a lubricant coolant which contains the following, wt %: polyethylene polyamine - 0.05-0.5; phosphoric acid - 0.025-0.25; nickel sulphate - 0.0025-0.025; ethylene glycol - 0.025-0.25; calcined soda (sodium carbonate) - 0.1-1.0; triethanolamine - 0.05-0.5 and water - the balance.
EFFECT: high efficiency of the process, high quality of the processed surface, high wear resistance of the tool during diamond-abrasive processing of glass and other materials.
