FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: method to produce a ferry site includes unloading of links onto water and their opening near the ferry site arrangement location, serial connection of links between each other into the ferry, laying of a gangway onto the shore for loading of equipment onto the ferry, movement of the ferry to the place of equipment unloading, laying of the gangway onto the shore for unloading of the equipment and unloading of the equipment off the ferry. The novelty in the method to produce the ferry site is the fact that retention of the ferry in place in process of loading (unloading) of the equipment is carried out by development of a traction force with water cannons of the motor link, which is closest to the shore, and the force is directed perpendicularly to the shore. At the same time water cannons of another motor link develop a traction force directed oppositely to the river flow speed, which retains the ferry against a turn along with the flow.
EFFECT: reduction of ferry staff by four people, through elimination of mooring staff in areas of equipment loading and unloading, higher throughput capacity of a ferry site at water barriers with width of up to 400 m.
