SUBSTANCE: control device for household appliance with a control unit that can be retained on the control panel of the household appliance, controlled by the control device, by means of magnetic forces, can move relative to the control panel and can be removed from the control panel, and the upper cover of the control unit is at least partially made of a ferromagnetic material. The upper cover is functionally connected with the analytical system of the control device so that the change in the magnetic fields caused by the movement of the control unit along the control panel, is determined by the movement of the cover relative to the additional magnets located on the control panel and/or under it, so that by determining such change it is possible to determine the movement of the control unit and, thus, a necessary change in settings of the household appliance or its components, and the upper cover is connected to the lower cover, and between them a closed receiving cavity is made for functional components of the control unit.

EFFECT: development of the control device with a compact and exceptionally flat control unit.
