SUBSTANCE: invention relates to household items, namely to lids which can be used in water heating devices, such as kettles, pots, thermal pots, water containers, coffee machines, etc., or storage or supply containers, for example decanters, containers, jars, etc. Lid for closing a container having an inner volume comprises a housing, in the upper part of which a filling hole is formed, and the lower part comprises a release mechanism made with possibility of tight closing of hole in lower part of lid and driven by external mechanical force in direction of operation for rotation of flaps fixed by means of magnets, relative to magnetic axes from closed position to open position, and return of flaps to closed position in absence of external force.
EFFECT: design of a simple and reliable lid, the mechanism of which ensures long and reliable operation of the mechanism for automatic filling of water inside the vessel.
