SUBSTANCE: method of controlling filling of capsules with a medicament as its filler is characterised by that a capsule or part thereof is held and moved in capsule holders and filled with a filler, and an optical system is used to record an image of the outline of the filler and filling of the capsule or parts thereof with the filler is then evaluated by image analysis. During operation of the capsule-filling machine when filling capsules or parts thereof with the filler, the actual optical index of the capsule holder is calculated based on information contained in the digital images. During the next process of filling capsules or parts thereof with the filler, light intensity in the image of the capsule holder is adjusted to a given value by controlling the optical system.
EFFECT: enabling compensation for external factors affecting image properties.
