SUBSTANCE: device has a motherboard, a removable interface board connected to the motherboard, a first USB interface mounted on the side of said interface board, the first USB interface being configured to connect to an external device, a second USB interface mounted on the side of the motherboard, the second USB interface being configured to connect to an external device, a selection unit which selects one interface from the first USB interface on said interface board and the second USB interface on the motherboard and a universal USB controller which communicates with an external device through the USB interface selected by the selection unit. The selection unit selects a predetermined one of the first and second USB interfaces or preferably selects one of the first and second USB interfaces which receives a signal from the external device first, wherein said selection unit and said USB controller are mounted on the motherboard.
