FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to percussion-type tools. Proposed tool comprises tool holder, motor with output shaft and is arranged behind tool holder, percussion tool, step-down shaft and step-down countershaft. Output shaft is oriented in direction perpendicular to toll holder axis. Percussion mechanism comprises piston and hammer. Piston is made reciprocate by crank mechanism driven by output shaft rotation. Crank mechanism comprises crankshaft and gear fitted at shaft lower part to engage with said output shaft. Step-down shaft is arranged parallel with output shaft, between the latter and tool holder. Step-down shaft comprises driven gear and bevel pinion. Driven gear is rotated by output shaft. Bevel pinion serves to transmit rotation to tool holder. Step-down countershaft is arranged between output shaft and step-down shaft. Output shaft extends beyond step-down shaft driven gear. Crankshaft is arranged behind output shaft.
EFFECT: decreased vibration.
