FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: fan cooling tower includes a housing, a spraying device, a liquid storage tank and a fan; at that, hosing consists of two parts - upper part including a sprayer and a drop separator, between which a header of the spraying device with all-flame atomisers is located, and lower part, in which a water collecting tank for cooled water storage is located with a fan installed on it; at that, the housing is made from a thin stainless steel sheet, and there is a diffuser in the water collecting tank, which represents a part of the housing and is connected to the fan provided with a plastic impeller and a multi-speed electric motor allowing to change the cooling tower efficiency during the operation and depending on weather conditions due to changing the air flow rate, and the sprayer is made in the form of a module and consists of layers of polymer cellular pipes; pipes are cylindrical and arranged in all the layers parallel to each other and welded on the module edges to each other at contact points; at that, cavities of each of the pipes and the inter-pipe space is filled with hollow polymer balls; at that, ball diameter is bigger by 5÷10% than maximum size of the pipe cell.
EFFECT: improving the cooling tower operating efficiency.
