SUBSTANCE: first letter of the word to be typed is entered on the touch screen and then using a program for typing on the touch screen next to the typed letter, which is pre-loaded into the microprocessor unit, the set of the next letters of the word is output, the selection and arrangement sequence of which, with respect to the first typed letter, is carried out depending on the maximum probability of appearance thereof such that letters with the maximum probability of following the entered letter are located closer to the vector passing along the previously entered letters, and letters with minimum probability are respectively located further from said vector, in accordance with the used pre-loaded lexical database; further, the next letters of the word are similarly displayed, and the user moves a pointing device, e.g., a pen or finger, to the desirable letter of the typed word and thus successively, without taking the pen or finger off the screen, types the desirable word while moving the pointing device in an almost straight movement.
EFFECT: faster text input on touch screens of electronic processing devices with dynamically displayed keyboard characters.
