FIELD: computer engineering including input devices. SUBSTANCE: keyboard has twelve keys; nine of them are marked with many letters and other symbols, and these nine keys plus one or more keys are marked with each of ten numerals. Text input keystrokes are ambiguous. User presses delimit key "Choice" in the end of each word to delimit sequence of keys that can coincide with any of plurality of words with same number of letters. Key sequence is processed with aid of unabridged dictionary, and words that coincide with key sequence are offered to user in usage descending order. Stems of wider words which first letters coincide with key sequence, are submitted to user in usage descending order. System is interpreting all key sequences as ambiguous and simple at the same time. User chooses interpretation needed. System also offers number that is key sequence for possible choice by user. EFFECT: minimized ambiguity of keystrokes inputted; enhanced effectiveness of eliminating ambiguity occurring in text input. 37 cl, 34 dwg, 1 tbl
