FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to obtaining ceramic particles, such as proppants. The method of obtaining a ceramic particle involves moulding a precursor particle which contains more than 5 wt % but less than 30 wt % of a first ceramic material and at least 40 wt % of a second ceramic material, said ceramic material being mainly distributed in said precursor. Said precursor is heated to maximum temperature higher than the sintering temperature of said first ceramic material and lower than the sintering temperature of said second ceramic material, wherein total porosity of the ceramic particle is at least 10%.
EFFECT: reduced porosity of articles.
