The source 53 of HDMI inserts information of content identification, designed for identification of a type of image data content designed for transfer, into a package of VVI InfoFrame, placed in a period of horizontal blanking. A unit 64 of control of the display module 42 controls operation of a unit 62 of reflection processing, which performs processing of image data reflection on the basis of information on the basis of content identification information (PS, ST1 and STO), received by the consumer 61 of HDMI and the display unit 63 for reflection of the image.

EFFECT: possibility for a reception side to do optimal processing of an image signal depending on content type.
