SUBSTANCE: invention relates to training service dogs and can be used in training and directing service dogs used to search firearms and ammunition. The firearm and ammunition smell imitator contains an inert carrier whose surface is coated with an odour substance. The odour substance used is a mixture which contains neutral gun oil, a gun cleaning alkaline composition, an ash residue of smokeless gunpowder "Sokol", crushed felted and polyethylene wads and smokeless gunpowder "Sunar".
EFFECT: imitator enables dogs to remember the smell.
