SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and a composition for reducing concentration or inhibiting growth of microbes in water-based fluids. The water-based fluid is brought into contact with an oxazolidinone compound and tetrakis(hydroxymethyl)phosphonium sulphate (THPS) or a composition containing said compounds.
EFFECT: invention increases treatment efficiency.
